The position is hybrid in Zug or Zurich, Switzerland.
The Role
The role involves contract management, legal operations, and providing legal guidance to the Foundation Council. Additionally, you will advise on compliance matters, develop compliance strategies for funding programs, and help implement compliance processes between the Foundation and DAO DAO. You will also have the opportunity to coordinate initiatives and shape compliance frameworks within the ecosystem.

What You'll Do
1. Manage all legal operations within the Foundation's legal department, ensuring smooth administrative and compliance workflows.
2. Oversee KYC/KYB processes for programs and funding activities of the Foundation and DAO.
3. Liaise and coordinate with external advisors and assist in preparing necessary documentation for regulatory reporting (e.g., ESA Reporting).
4. Develop and implement compliance strategies, including policies and processes for the Foundation.
5. Identify and mitigate compliance risks, particularly in areas like sanctions and embargo laws.
6. Provide compliance advisory services to the Management/Foundation Council and support strategic developments.
7. Educate and train employees on compliance topics and ensure policies and guidelines remain up to date.
8. Support the legal team in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements and internal regulations.
9. Engage with foreign regulators, external counsel, and internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters.
10. Lead legal and regulatory projects to support strategic initiatives in a fast-moving environment.
What You Bring to the Table
1. An outstanding Swiss legal degree - MUST.
2. Minimum 3-4 years of proven experience either as a lawyer in the financial services industry or as an in-house counsel / compliance officer in Swiss regulated entities.
3. Keen interest and understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital assets.
4. Strong negotiation skills, with a proven ability to lead contract discussions and engage directly with senior counsels.
5. Analytical and strategic thinker, capable of providing clear, well-founded guidance based on independent assessments.
6. Problem-solving mindset, with the flexibility to develop pragmatic solutions that support innovative products and business models.
7. Results-driven and proactive, able to work independently while delivering practical, business-oriented solutions.
8. Full professional proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Adaptable and resilient, comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment, handling ambiguity, and making decisive recommendations.
10. Collaborative team player, experienced in working with international and cross-functional teams.
11. Located in Zug or nearby.
