Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Pro-active processing of DB change requests according to the Kanban board (e.g. scripting, documentation)
2. SQL query performance analyzes to optimize access in collaboration with the DEV teams
3. Configure/monitor DB replication streams
4. Planning & execution of all DB migration from DEV-PRD
5. Further development of the currently existing documentation and script library (TACL - Tandem Advanced Command Language)
6. Proactive monitoring of application queues at server class level
7. Responsible for dimensioning the FO application (number of instances, parallel operation…)
8. Ensure that no tables or Discs overflow. Defining measures in collaboration with the system specialists
9. Participation in the planning of HW capacity expansions
10. Support of the release manager, among other things, in the creation of the rough schedule
11. Optimize the DB deployment process
12. ACM (Automated Configuration Management GUI:
* Maintain the mySQL DB regarding changes or Evaluations
* Making configuration adjustments
* Evaluate the config files and initiate necessary measures regarding dimensioning before GoLive
Who Are We Looking For
We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what's next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
* At least 3 years of experience with relational database systems (SQL, Access)
* Experience in performance analysis of database queries and accesses
* Coaching & supporting the development teams in database design and access optimization options – Creating scripts to port changed databases (DEV - Production)
* Manage, extend, modernize the current script tool library using technologies such as DOS, BASH, VisualBasic
* Technology knowledge of JAVA, C, VisualBasic (optional)
