We are seeking a senior, experienced, and qualified finance professional who has experience in sustainability and IFRS accounting as well as external reporting, to support the Roche Group's non-financial reporting strategy. You will be an integral member of the Business Process Management (BPM) Transparency & Financial Sustainability Reporting team.
As Sustainability Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for Roche’s Sustainability Reporting as well as Roche’s internal sustainability reporting frameworks, ensuring these comply with regulatory reporting standards. You will be working closely with Group Sustainability, relevant ESG functions, Group Accounting and External Reporting, and the BPM team in order to ensure the reporting process is designed and operated in line with Roche’s Sustainability Reporting standards.
In this role, you will prepare Roche’s Consolidated Sustainability Report, and develop, maintain, and improve its report process and relevant materials. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert for Sustainability Reporting standards, such as EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), and EU Taxonomy.
Your main responsibilities are to:
Define sustainability data requirements for reporting and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement these in the reporting process and systems.
Conduct regular data collection, validation, and analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness, as well as understanding deviations and identifying risks/opportunities.
Design, maintain, and improve reporting processes and solutions in collaboration with IT, group functions, and affiliates.
Stay updated on emerging sustainability trends, regulations, and reporting practices to recommend improvements to the organization's sustainability strategy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development/tracking of KPIs and deliver routine sustainability performance reports.
Contribute to the development of sustainability communication materials for internal and external audiences. Prepare materials and conduct training sessions for Sustainability Reporting.
Who you are
You are a fully qualified Chartered or Certified Accountant (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA) and have a degree in sustainability, environmental, or finance, with a minimum of 10 years of working experience in an IFRS or Sustainability/ESG external reporting role. You have solid practical knowledge in financial data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Furthermore, you possess an interest in sustainability topics and a strong knowledge of sustainability reporting requirements, which enables you to integrate these into Roche’s external annual reporting, providing a holistic overview of Roche's financial and sustainability performance.
You are enthusiastic and display a positive and proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and collaborate. You are able to contribute to any tasks and ensure that we deliver a timely and high-quality solution to our customers. You are also a proactive team player.
You will bring the following skills and experience:
Solid understanding of IFRS or sustainability reporting standards/frameworks (i.e., ESRS, GRI, TCFD).
Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to identify and resolve issues independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
