Portfolio Manager
Who we're looking for at Cazenove Capital
We're looking for a Portfolio Manager to join our Wealth Management division which is part of Schroders Plc. In the UK and Channel Islands we are known as Cazenove Capital.
We want someone who can work as a part of a successful team, enjoys prospecting for new business and who is passionate about delivering excellent client service and investment solutions for our clients.
The successful candidate will be busy, hands-on and have a ‘can-do’ approach.
What you’ll do
• Manage, either directly or in conjunction with a Portfolio Director, client relationships and individual client portfolios to ensure that:
o Mandates are adhered to;
o Risk profiles are respected;
o Clients are treated fairly;
o Suitable revenue from the clients is achieved;
o Performance dispersion is minimised across client base when mandate/risk profile are similar
• Fully understand each client’s inter-family relationships, individual circumstances, risk profile, financial composure, investment objectives and specific restrictions
• Report to clients in a timely and professional manner
• Meet with clients regularly to update them on progress, re-assess their circumstances, ensure any agreed action is recorded and implemented
• React to all client related enquiries in a timely manner and be proactive in relation to a changing economic background where relevant
• Actively support our business development activities, identify and convert new business opportunities into profitable new client relationships
• Assist with the preparation of investment proposals.
The knowledge, qualifications and experience you will need
• An approved Level 4 or above approved regulatory qualification;
• If not held, willingness to study for (and achieve) The CISI Chartered Wealth Manager or equivalent higher level qualification;
• Must obtain a Statement of Professional Standing on an annual basis.
• Demonstrable client relationship and portfolio management experience
• Have a sound understanding of the key wealth management compliance and regulatory requirements
• Hold the relevant housing qualification to live and work in Jersey.
