About the Role
Our client is a prominent organization based in Lausanne, seeking an experienced IT Workplace Engineer to join their team. As a first-level contact, you will provide resolutions to user issues and ensure seamless technical support.
Responsibilities:
1. Escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support, ensuring timely resolution.
2. Track, route, and redirect problems to correct resources, guaranteeing efficient issue management.
3. Ensure proper recording, documentation, and closure of incidents using ServiceNow.
4. Configure PCs and laptops according to established standards.
5. Customize user profiles as per standards and user requirements, providing basic onboarding training.
6. Manage mobile devices configuration and perform research to resolve customer interactions with high satisfaction rates.
7. Provide accurate reporting to management, highlighting key performance indicators.
8. Contribute to automated PC updates and deployments through scripting.
9. Oversee IT logistics, including cabling, PC moves, stock/inventory management.
10. Perform first-level system & network administration tasks.
11. Support the deployment and management of workplace technology, including meeting room technology and monitoring systems.
12. Participate in day-to-day system administration duties.
Required Skills:
1. Demonstrate strong knowledge of MS Windows 10/11, Office/MS365 installation and administration, as well as Windows Server 2019-2022.
2. Familiarity with Digital World Technology (Mobile devices - iPhones, etc.), MS365/Azure cloud solutions, and Internet browser administration.
3. Understand client-side networking (VPN, WiFi, client network config, TCP/IP/DNS).
4. Experience with Enterprise Client deployment systems (MDT, Intune, ManageEngine Endpoint Central asset).
5. Familiarity with cloud services, physical servers, and virtualization technologies.
6. Proficient in remote support techniques.
7. Comprehension of the Life Cycle & Support management (ITIL, etc.).
8. Familiarity with meeting room technology and monitoring systems.
9. User Support and Workplace management in M365 environment.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in IT or Electronic Engineering (Swiss CFC or higher) or equivalent certifications.
2. Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in a similar role.
3. Fluency in French and English (at least technical level).
4. Excellent customer service attitude and problem-solving abilities.
5. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
6. Sense of responsibility and ability to work independently.
7. Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and willing to travel occasionally.
8. Ability to create and maintain documentation.
