We invite you to join our team in Locarno and play a key role in shaping the future of elevator control systems.
As R&D Control Systems Architect Telecom, you will act as the technical architect of the controller and telecommunications platform to define and maintain the requirements and technical solution while driving continuous progress through technical development of new components and technologies.
Your new challenges include:
1. Analyzing system requirements and deriving component-level solutions with a focus on hardware and telecommunication systems by ensuring compliance with industry standards and relevant codes and maintaining product structure.
2. Defining, documenting, and maintaining the hardware architecture of elevator control systems, including master schematics.
3. Aligning with cross-functional teams (Architects, System and Software Engineers) on HW-SW functionality and collaborating with production, field support, installation, and maintenance experts to ensure high-quality, fit-for-purpose systems.
4. Developing and integrating interfaces for subsystems, components, and controller platforms.
5. Defining requirements for PCBAs, assemblies, harnesses, and sub-components.
6. Leading quality assurance efforts through Design FMEA, root cause analysis, and cross-functional reviews.
7. Supporting test and field analysis, documenting corrective actions, and driving continuous improvements.
8. Identifying technology trends and initiating feasibility studies with project management.

Requirements
The ideal candidate has:
1. A Master's degree in electrical, telecommunication, network engineering or similar.
2. Proven technical leadership skills.
3. Extensive experience (5-7 years) with design and maintenance of control systems, ideally in the telecommunication sector.
4. Excellent knowledge of system engineering methods (modelling, requirements engineering, interface management, analysis).
5. Proven experience with production processes for electronic and electrical assemblies and procedures for installation and commissioning.
6. Proficient level of English; other languages are a plus.
