Our transversal Group Technology R&D is looking for a Senior Embedded System Engineer to complete his team and build up a new Embedded Backend platform for our Product Lines and support our current solution. You will report to the Embedded Backend Software Manager and closely partner with cross functional teams and experts in our organization.
In this function you will be entrusted with the following main tasks:
Working in an industrial environment with embedded equipment.
Within the Backend Platform Team, defining and building a new unified embedded backend architecture.
Setup the target systems to run the solution.
Maintaining/Improving the embedded backend setup and deployment.
Working with Azure DevOps tools, including the creation of automated testing and deployment pipelines.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement software and system requirements using architecture best practices.
Defining test specifications and implement automated tests.
Writing documentation in English.
For this function you bring the following requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge including multiple years of experience
You worked with modern OS (Windows 7/10/11 and Linux, Embedded versions)
Good Experience in configuring systems (base OS, network, security, policies, etc…)
Good scripting knowledge
Experience in configuring databases servers (especially PostgreSQL)
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker in an embedded Windows/Linux systems
Experience with CI/CD pipeline
Experience working in an Agile Team
Very good spoken and written English and French desirable
Open minded to learn new things

The production site of Mex, near Lausanne in Switzerland, is also the headquarters of the Bobst Group. It is the most important site, employing approx. 1500 passionate people.
