As a Production Engineer in Mechanics, you will play a crucial role in the engineering of mechanic/electromechanics products throughout their life cycle, from development to continuous improvement. This position requires leadership in project management, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a proactive approach to ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet business and customer expectations.
Your responsibilities
1. Lead and manage projects from initiation to the release for sales, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
2. Manage product variants and customization requests in alignment with the ABB gate model, collaborating closely with product managers, operations, sales units, and development teams.
3. Transfer new products from R&D to Operations with comprehensive documentation, including Bill of Materials (BoM), Working Instructions, and Spare Parts Manuals.
4. Identify improvement opportunities and implement projects, ensuring compliance with time, quality, and cost requirements.
5. Ensure production processes align with project targets.
6. Approve designs for internally or externally developed processes and perform final tests in line with project requirements.
7. Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring successful delivery within specified timelines.
8. Continuously seek and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
Your background
1. Degree in Electric/Mechanic Engineering (3 or 5 years).
2. Knowledge of manufacturing technologies (sheet metal design, detail part drawings, assembly drawings and design for manufacturing).
3. Proficient in MS Office and 2D/3D CAD systems (CREO and/or SolidWorks required).
4. Familiarity with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) is appreciated.
5. Very good knowledge of the English language.
6. Positive spirit, proactivity, teamwork, speediness, and problem-solving orientation.
7. Commitment to delivering results by taking responsibility for assigned tasks and projects.
