We are seeking an experienced Communications Manager to join our Marketing and Communications team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in our office. Collaborating with various teams across the business, you will play a critical role in communicating MDPI’s values, shaping the company’s corporate communication strategy, engaging stakeholders, and upholding the company's reputation. As part of our commitment to fostering a collaborative team environment, this role requires working fully on-site.
This is a hands-on role requiring confidence, creativity, and expertise in corporate communications, content strategy, stakeholder engagement, brand communication, and team management.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Oversee and implement the corporate communication strategy across corporate communications and, eventually, company-wide.
* Pitch and develop ideas to support the corporate brand, including developing content strategies or strategic insights for quality improvement.
* Train other teams to ensure consistent communication across the company.
* Support the news, announcements, and PR team in content creation.
* Collaborate with the Marketing department to ensure proper messaging for marketing activities across various teams.
* Oversee a selection of time-sensitive corporate campaigns that MDPI must execute annually.
* Utilize research and insights to tailor communication strategies to the evolving needs of the academic community.
Requirements
* University degree in marketing, communications, social sciences, or similar.
* Minimum 2-5 years of experience in content strategy, cross-department collaboration, international communications, structuring teams with change management principles, and managing budgets related to corporate communications. A minimum of 5-10 years is required in corporate communications.
* Proficiency in English at C2 level.
* Ability to utilize research and insights to tailor communication strategies to the academic community's changing needs (Intermediate level).
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with teams across a global organization to ensure consistent brand and messaging.
* Ability to support and contribute to the team's effectiveness and continuous improvement.
* Good organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills.
* Interest in science and science communications.
