To assist the Compliance Manager and to ensure Trident Trust remains compliant with all relevant regulatory and anti-money laundering legislation, including internal policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Duties:
* Undertaking the day day-to-day tasks assigned to Compliance
* Performing periodic file reviews
* Assisting with FATCA/CRS related matters including self-certification and reporting
* Contributing to the development of an effective compliance culture with appropriate policies and procedures that reflect current regulatory and AML Legislation
* Remaining up to date, interpret and disseminate information about regulatory and AML Legislation changes and work with the Compliance Manager to ensure policies, procedures, and compliance tools are adapted to accommodate any such changes
* Answering queries and provide advice and guidance as and when requested, on Regulatory and AML matters from staff
* Making sure all necessary ad-hoc and periodic notifications and reports are made in a timely fashion and ensure deadlines are met
* Maintaining the various registers that the authorities require to be kept
* Ensure due diligence is kept up to date and Viewpoint is correctly updated
* Complete timesheet and ensure accurate time capture resulting in correct timely billing
* Preparation of weekly and monthly reporting
* Comply with the AML /CFT legislation
* Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures and AML obligations
* Delivery of excellent client service by adhering to our values
* Undertake any projects that may arise from time to time; involvement will be dependent on availability and the skill set required for each project
* Undertaking such other tasks as may reasonably be requested by the Compliance Manager.
Skills required:
* Relevant professional qualification or ability and commitment to work towards an approved relevant professional qualification; alternatively, an employee may be qualified by experience
* Applicants should have started or undertaken to start a professional qualification (ACAMS/ICSA/STEP) or equivalent
* At least five (5) years’ working experience in a similar position within a management company
* Fluent in English and Spanish
* High degree of professional ethics and integrity
* Ability to communicate well and effectively, verbally and in writing, to a diverse audience
* Build and maintain close and effective working relationships with colleagues
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with tact and confidence in dealing with people at all levels, both internally and externally
