JOB SUMMARY:
As a Senior Financial Analyst at Ascent, you will play a key role in supporting senior finance leadership with financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. You will deliver financial insights through complex data analysis to identify opportunities for margin enhancement and cost savings. This role will involve collaborating across various teams to ensure consistent reporting and developing financial models to guide profitability and strategic growth.
WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON:
* Monthly Financial Reporting: Lead the monthly close process, forecasting, budgeting, and variance reporting, while conducting margin analysis.
* Executive Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of monthly executive reports and participate in annual budget planning.
* Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth trend analysis and develop recommendations to ensure long-term profitability.
* Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting and deliver insights to business partners and stakeholders.
* Data-Driven Decision Making: Use large and complex datasets to build financial models and support key business initiatives.
* Ad Hoc Projects: Engage in special financial projects that drive process and reporting improvements across the organization.
YOUR PROFILE:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in finance
* 5+ years of experience in financial forecasting, analysis, and modeling, with a strong aptitude for working cross-functionally.
* Proven experience in handling complex data and driving decision-making through financial insights.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerBI), and familiarity with relational databases (Essbase, SQL).
* Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to stakeholders.
* A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and drive continuous improvement in financial processes.
