We invite you to become the Financial Controller of a manufacturing site and join the Financial Control & Accounting (FC&A) team for the “M&T and Premix”. Our FC&A EMEA team of around 140 professionals is embarking on an exciting journey towards achieving ambitious goals, and we are seeking a talented individual who shares our passion for excellence and innovation.
You will have the opportunity to implement and supervise structured interactions with all relevant stakeholders: BG account manager, other financial control teams (CCS, OCS, TP), Financial Shared Services, internal and external auditors, Lead Management Accountant and Business Partner.
The role will also give the opportunity to manage a full trial balance to own the actuals.

Your key responsibilities :
1. Ensures delivery and execution of the finance actuals, closing and reporting activities for the assigned reporting unit(s)
2. Performs a sanity check of the P&L and coordinates variances analysis compared to the actuals (e.g. prior month, quarter, or run-rate)
3. Ensures integrity of financial Statements and management reports in accordance with DSM Accounting Rules, international and local statutory accounting standards.
4. Performs Balance Sheet monitoring, incl. financial variance analysis and understanding of open items
5. Reviews integrity and quality of all sub ledgers (incl. balance reconciliation)
6. Coordinates supporting documentation on accruals, provisions and special items
7. Monitors the financial closing process:
8. Leads the pre-close meeting and translates business development to DAR accounting
9. Oversees implementations like judgement-based accruals
10. Actively monitors the closing process based on the financial closing cockpit
11. Defines and follows up on mitigation actions in case of issues during the closing in order to ensure correct and complete actuals and meet defined deadlines
12. Drives the monthly evaluation meeting and follows up on occurred issues and defined improvements actions
13. Supports the business with the setting up of the budget and forecast cycles
14. Upload and lock budget and RAF data in CFIN
15. Provide reports for Provisions/Accruals
16. Supports Management Reporting BG/BU, Monthly Reporting Deck Forecast/Actuals and Cashflow
17. Ensures integrity of data used in management reports related to the legal entity
18. Ensures compliance with DSM internal control requirements
19. Monitors the internal control framework on a monthly basis and follows up on remediation plans
20. Acts as Single point of contact for all internal and external audits
21. Follows up on financial audit findings
22. Ensures that assets and liabilities are correctly and completely recognized
23. Ensures that roles and responsibilities are in line with the (updated) ARIS flows and makes sure that processes are performed according to the approved standard House of Finance processes
You bring:
24. (post) Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Accounting/Financial Controlling, and/or licensed certified public accountant
25. > 4 years of experience in Accounting/ Controlling/Audit
26. Knowledge and experience in a Shared Service environment
27. In-depth understanding of Finance and Accounting processes
28. Extensive knowledge and understanding of ERP systems (SAPR3)
29. Flexibility to travel on a regular basis on site in Lalden (Switzerland)
30. Fluent in English and in German .
