Main Purpose of the Job
The Strategic Marketing Analyst will be responsible for conducting in-depth market, product, and competitive analyses to support our New Product Innovation (NPI) initiatives. This individual will work closely with internal stakeholders across Pharma and Diagnostics to provide data-driven insights, helping to shape strategic decisions for market expansion and product positioning. The role will evolve as we gain a deeper understanding of our markets and execute planned acquisitions in 2025 and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Market & Competitive Analysis:
1. Research and analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes for Pharma and Diagnostics businesses.
2. Identify potential market opportunities and assess feasibility for entry.
3. Look at Total Accessible Market (TAM) and Total Potential Markets (TPM) for new products and services.
4. Monitor industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to anticipate market shifts.
Product & Data Analysis:
1. Evaluate market demand, pricing trends, and sales data to guide product development and positioning.
2. Support the NPI group by analyzing pipeline opportunities and building business cases for new product launches.
3. Track product lifecycle performance and provide insights to optimize revenue and market share.
4. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports with key market and performance metrics.
Strategic Marketing Support:
1. Work alongside the Head of Strategic Marketing to align product insights with broader marketing initiatives such as brand strategy, demand generation, digital marketing, and content creation.
2. Collaborate with the commercial team and marketing team to translate data insights into targeted campaigns and messaging.
3. Provide input for strategic marketing plans, identifying key growth areas and potential risks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
1. Partner with internal teams, including Commercial, R&D, Sales, Finance, and Operations, to drive data-driven decision-making.
2. Present research findings and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with company goals.
3. Support M&A activities by conducting market assessments for potential acquisitions.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, Life Sciences, or a related field.
2. Previous experience in strategic marketing, market research, business intelligence, or a similar role within the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or chemical manufacturing industries.
3. Proven experience in conducting market analysis and competitive intelligence.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
5. Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) and CRM/ERP systems.
6. Knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, and social media analytics is a plus.
7. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
8. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
9. Self-motivated and adaptable, with a strategic mindset and a keen eye for detail.

This role will initially need to be a site-based/hybrid role to enable onboarding and interaction with the team; once established, we can look at remote working options.
