JOB PURPOSE
The Global Corporate Events Project Manager & Cost Controller will play a critical role in ensuring that all Cruise Division Global Corporate Events (MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys) are managed efficiently and cost-effectively. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of financial and project management expertise, as well as excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have a passion for delivering exceptional financial performance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive cost control strategy for Global Corporate Events that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
2. Develop and maintain budgets for Global Corporate Events, for both MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys.
3. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Procurement, and Ground Operations, to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
4. Make all the purchase orders in relation to the organization of the events.
5. Analyze data and generate reports to support decision-making and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
6. Develop, maintain, and update detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, resources, and dependencies to ensure successful project execution.
7. Support the project delivery timelines and priorities to help ensure all projects are delivered efficiently and on time.
8. Travel for onsite inspections and project support events.
9. Ensure excellent guest service and quality delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Fluent English (oral and written). Any other European language is an advantage.
2. At least 3+ years’ experience in project management, financial management, and cost control principles and practices.
3. Very good knowledge of IT.
4. Committed, flexible, able to roll up her/his sleeves, with an unshakeable can-do attitude.
5. PC Skills, Excel (Windows Office a must).
6. Motivated and proactive individual with multitasking abilities, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure.
7. Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders and to coordinate complex tasks.
8. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs in a complex and challenging environment.
VISA REQUIREMENTS (if any)
EU Passport or Right to work in Switzerland.
