Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement (6 months). Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.
The work model for the role is: onsite #LI-Onsite
This role is contributing to the team in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Main stakeholder is Electrification division.
You will be mainly accountable for:
* Support, collaboration and independent execution of design work in SolidWorks (2d/3d) within the framework of development and product care projects
* Collaboration in the area of product change management
* Creation and maintenance of parts lists
* Support and collaboration in product master data maintenance
* Procurement of new components and prototypes
* Creation of documentation
Qualifications for the role
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or in a related field of study
* You are at ease communicating in English, German is beneficial
* You are confident in handling MS Office and CAD tools, preferred SolidWorks
* You are able to work independently and responsibly
* You are curious and initiative
* A professional qualification as an automation technician, automation fitter, switchgear fitter, electronics technician or similar is a plus
* Non-EU/non-EFTA citizens, please note that a certificate from your university, showing that an internship is a mandatory part of your studies, is required for the visa application
