This role description defines the tasks and competencies of the Security and Safety Officer as well as his or her area of responsibility in the entire building complex of Quai Zurich Campus (QZC).
What you will do
* Responsibility for security operations (24/7), security guards and processes, including on-call service
* Overall responsibility for reliable operation of the security control center at QZC and the security systems (security management system, intrusion detection, fire detection, CCTV, access control, public announcement system)
* Responsible for compliance with and implementation of all internal physical security occupational and health and safety requirements
* Oversees operational management of security guards
* Creates and maintains work instructions, guidelines, checklists, and concepts
* Oversees and performs physical security controls
* Oversees and coordinates planning and implementation of event security measures
* Responsible for the training of security guards and own deputy
Fire Safety:
* Defines evacuation concept and conducts periodic reviews (legal requirements, framework conditions and effective implementation)
* Responsible for compliance with and implementation of all official fire protection regulations (VKF, fire police, GVZ) as well as the requirements defined in the fire protection concept
* Ensures that the functionality of the fire protection components (Brandschutzgewerke) and processes is checked and documented in accordance with VKF requirements
* Ensures that the tasks of the sprinkler maintenance technician are performed and documented
* Responsible for the internal emergency organization (evacuation and medical first aiders), periodic training, resource planning and operational management in the event of an incident
* Responsible for ensuring that all employees, visitors and external staff are instructed on what to do in the event of an incident (e.g. induction of new joiners, annual evacuation exercise, web-based training)
* First point of contact for external security organizations and authorities (blue light organizations, fire police, etc.)
What you bring
* Specialist for Security and Protection FSB-EF or five years of equivalent experience in the security sector
* Fire Protection Specialist EF or CFPA
* SPQ radiation protection SUVA (radiation sources of low activity with full protection)
* Occupational safety in SMEs EKAS/SUVA
* Emergency Responder IVR Level 2 (BLS/AED)
* Several years of experience in the operation of security systems
* Several years of experience in the management of security personnel
* Experience in the planning and implementation of security concepts
* Experience as a bodyguard is an advantage
* Good knowledge of MS Office
* Fluent in German and English (oral and written)
* Physical and mental resilience
* Strong security and service thinking
* Reliable, exact and discreet
* Communicative, team player, good manners
