We are looking for an Analyst, Concentrates Planning and Optimisation to oversee and manage the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process for various commodities across multiple smelters and geographical locations. The role involves strategic and tactical planning, stakeholder management, and optimisation of raw material flow through advanced software tools. Main Areas of Responsibility: Execute the S&OP process monthly, collaborating closely with production planners, managers, logistics, finance, and general management within smelters:analyze and interpret chemical processes within smelting operations to make informed decisions that maximise capacity utilisation and efficiency;provide comprehensive feedback and recommendations to stakeholders based on the optimisation outcomes, ensuring transparency and alignment with the business strategy;oversee and contribute to the refinement and enhancement of planning processes to respond to the needs of the business. Expand the S&OP/optimisation program to new sites, which involves setting up processes from scratch in new locations. Build strategic long-term plans, including the Life of Assets (LOA) planning and annual budgeting processes. Manage relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders across multiple departments and external consultants for software maintenance. Make significant operational decisions that carry substantial financial implications, ensuring the most cost-effective outcomes for the company. Requirements and key attributes: Strong analytical background with a preference for candidates with mathematics or smelting process knowledge. Commercial or business acumen to understand and contribute to the financial aspects of planning and optimisation. Experience in working with optimisation software and the ability to manage complex tools. Ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively, with effective communication and negotiation skills. A certain level of experience is preferred to ensure the candidate can engage in high-level, strategic conversations and exert influence when necessary. Supply chain planning certifications can be beneficial but are not mandatory. Flexibility and capacity to handle change, to manage a role that is constantly evolving with the growth and development of the business. The capability to work independently and proactively, with minimal supervision, while also being able to collaborate effectively with others.
