Background iMMAP Inc. seeks a dynamic and energetic Digital Communications Officer to join our Global Communications and Outreach team.
In this role, you will create, manage, and distribute digital content across multiple online platforms, maintaining consistent messaging and branding. As a Digital Communications Officer, you will be an integral part of the Global Communications and Outreach Unit, reporting directly to the Global Communications & Outreach Coordinator. Working closely with the Communication Task Force Coordinator, you will oversee various digital communication tasks, ensuring our digital presence is impactful and cohesive.

This contract is eligible for renewal based on performance and funding. Upon successful completion, the applicant will be offered a one-year contract commencing in January 2025.

Description of Duties Website Management:
Develop and maintain compelling content for the iMMAP Inc. global website to ensure a dynamic web presence.
Oversee website functionality and enhance user experience, conducting regular content audits and optimizations.
Serve as the iMMAP Inc. Content Management System lead, collaborating closely with the technology team to streamline content strategies and support web maintainers with editing support and best practices.
Social Media Management:
Design and implement strategic social media campaigns to broaden audience reach and deepen engagement with iMMAP Inc.’s mission.
Produce high-quality social media content tailored to various platforms, including posts, graphics, and videos.
Create and maintain a robust social media strategy, supporting and training field office colleagues for event promotions and activities.
Graphic Design Support:
Design impactful graphics and visual elements for digital platforms, ensuring consistency with iMMAP Inc.'s brand guidelines.
Provide graphic design support across various communication materials to enhance visual storytelling.
Video Production:
Conceptualize, script, and produce engaging video content for online distribution, focusing on high-quality visuals and compelling narratives.
Utilize advanced video editing software to craft videos that effectively communicate iMMAP Inc.’s initiatives and impact.
Newsletter and Editorial Support:
Manage and distribute iMMAP Inc.’s email newsletters, engaging with subscribers through regular updates and insights.
Assist with editorial duties, including proofreading and content verification, to ensure accuracy and coherence in communications.
Strategic Communication and Campaign Support:
Assist in the organization and promotion of special events, workshops, webinars, and campaigns to advance strategic conservation and humanitarian goals.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of communication materials and advocacy events, providing insights into audience engagement and campaign effectiveness.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Experience with video editing software (Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, etc.)
Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) principles.
Experience with a Content Management System (CMS) like WordPress.
Familiarity with website development tools and frameworks (Elementor, Bootstrap).
Familiarity with Canva, Hootsuite, Microsoft 365, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter (X) and Medium.
Requirements Bachelor's or master’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field from a recognized institution.
At least three years of experience working in digital communications or a related field.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about our mission and eager to contribute to our work in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a willingness to work within the CET time zone (Central European Time).
