1. Define and architect cutting-edge connected MCU and DSP based products aimed at miniature, battery-powered applications.
2. Translate customer requirements into technical requirements
3. Define optimum system partitioning, analyze and establish design tradeoffs and options, and deliver device specifications
4. Work with multiple stakeholders (business leaders, central teams, design, marketing, applications, other business units, to leverage a platform approach to product development and maximize IP reuse
5. Perform product feasibility analysis and estimate product development cost as well as device cost to enable the business unit to make informed decisions
6. Provide system level understanding and expertise to guide product roadmaps, definition and feature set
7. Engage with customers as a technical leader and expert to help win new opportunities and drive long-term roadmap alignment
8. 10+ years of direct mixed-signal semiconductor design experience, specifically including architecture and/or system engineering
9. Expertise in defining and architecting low-power MCU and/or DSP products including applying an IP reusage approach
10. Knowledge of firmware definition and needs for programmable architectures
11. Expertise in performing feasibility assessment of customer/marketing requirements
12. System engineering expertise and understanding of industrial and medical applications
13. Business acumen to successfully steer technical choices towards maximizing return on investment
14. Clear and concise communication skills at all levels within onsemi and with customers
15. Ability to multitask and work with multiple stakeholders, typically outside direct reporting hierarchy
16. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering required, Master’s degree or higher required
