Job Description:
Kopter, part of Leonardo, develops the AW09 helicopter with a large cabin and cargo hold. The AW09 offers improved safety standards, performance, and comfort at low operating costs.
Your Responsibilities
* Detailed design, planning, and cost control for sub-projects.
* Maintain legal aviation & safety requirements in operations and implement them according to EASA Part-21,J and CS27.
* Inform about possible project risks related to tasks.
* Implement applicable design guidelines for parts worked on.
Tasks:
* Develop mechanical products by studying requirements, researching, testing information, manufacturing, and assembly methods to achieve a sub-project design complying with product requirements.
* Collaborate with team members on technical level to achieve a mature design of sub-systems.
* Assure system and product quality by reviewing fabrication methods, assembly methods, and installation processes.
* Conduct part and assembly drawings with required information for production and assembly of parts or systems.
* Use aerospace analysis methodologies and applicable regulatory frameworks (EASA Part-21,J and CS27) and Kopter business standards.
* Design subsystems using 3D CAD software.
* Create technical specifications for well-defined process and product information.
* Support experimental, environmental, operational, and stress tests on aircraft and aerospace systems.
* Attend assembly and fitting of aircraft and components to improve design and instructions.
* Present to managers and team members to ensure understanding of systems.
Your Qualifications:
* University degree in mechanical engineering or similar related engineering degree.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in the aerospace industry, preferably with transmission systems or structural design.
* 3D CAD experience.
* Experience in creating manufacturing and assembly drawings.
* Preferred experience in manufacturing processes related to aerospace.
* Preferable experience in aerospace system testing.
* Preferable experience in certification of aerospace systems.
* Very good English spoken and written (minimum B2).
