Lead our Quality Control team and drive reliable product supply to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Spearhead departmental performance, quality metrics, and budget strategy.
2. Foster collaboration among managers, supervisors, and stakeholders for organizational readiness and growth.
3. Develop a cohesive teamwork with internal and external customers, promoting close communication and cooperation.
4. Drive lean mindset initiatives and establish mechanisms for continuous improvement aligned with business plans.
5. Develop strategies to ensure capacity is fit for demand across short-, mid-, and long-term horizons.
6. Achieve strong stakeholder expectations in a matrix environment.
Key Requirements:
7. MSc or PhD in Life Science Biochemistry/Biotechnology with significant industry experience in GxP controlled Biologics/Biopharmaceutical/Pharmaceutical sectors.
8. Demonstrated leadership skills in managing bigger teams (over 20 FTE) within a matrix setting.
9. Strong problem-solving and scientific project management skills, including Lean methodologies such as 5Why, 6M.
10. In-depth knowledge of QC lab operations and GxP Regulations, specifically Health Canada, US-FDA, EU requirements on data integrity and compendia like USP, EP, JP.
11. Eager to drive results and mobilize teams and stakeholders; ability to communicate effectively with various groups, including executive management, peers, teams, customers, regulators, and health authorities.
12. Change management experience is advantageous.
13. Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in German is an asset.
