About the Role:
We are seeking an exceptional Security Architecture and Engineering Director to lead our enterprise-wide security strategy. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our security architecture and engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Security Architecture Leadership: Develop and maintain the company's security architecture framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices.
* Engineering Oversight: Lead a team of skilled security engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across the organization.
* Threat Intelligence: Review the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities, incorporating threat intelligence into security strategies.
* Security Technology Roadmap: Establish and manage Security technology roadmap and drive the adoption of emerging security technologies and methodologies to support the organisation's transformation agenda.
* Collaboration and Communications: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the business to align security initiatives with the overall technology and business strategy.
* Team Development and Management: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing cybersecurity operations team. Foster a culture of continuous learning, skill development, and collaboration within the team.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
* Proven experience in security architecture and engineering leadership roles.
* In-depth knowledge of security principles, protocols, and technologies.
* Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
* Industry certifications such as SABSA, CISSP or similar are highly desirable.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to assess complex security situations and make informed decisions.
