Linux Engineer (Senior) vacancy for our Emmen based client in the energy sector.
Your tasks:
* Developing, managing, and maintaining Linux systems
* Managing VMware SAN storage and data backup systems
* Leading and executing system migrations from on-premises to cloud platforms
* Collaborating with stakeholders to evaluate and implement IT requirements
* Improving system performance and efficiency at Axpo
* Providing technical expertise in shaping and updating ICT architectures
Your experience/knowledge:
* Strong knowledge of IT operations, system engineering, and security services
* Expertise with server environments like VMware, Azure Arc, or Azure Stack HCI
* Proficient in Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform and GitHub
* Extensive experience with Linux servers, containers, and cloud platforms
* University degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a focus on Linux, storage, and backup systems
* Excellent comprehension skills with attention to detail
* Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams
