YODL builds the Venmo/Stripe of crypto. We build on top of existing blockchain/DeFi infrastructure (chains, wallets, stablecoins, DEXes) and make them usable in a payment context.
Our team has built successful mobile payment apps, DeFi protocols, launched Uber in the German-speaking countries, and a bag full of other prestige-worthy logos.
Responsibilities
You will bring our existing frontend (yodl.me) to the next level. As a UI/frontend developer, you will focus on the UI and design of our end-user facing apps, SDKs, explorers, and dashboards. You should come up with designs that both crypto-savvy users feel at home with, but are simple enough for the average user to understand. You will also directly implement them, pushing the pixels, flexing boxes, etc.
* You design the UI and also directly implement it.
* You are passionate about UI/UX, from the big picture to the little details.
* You have a solid sense of making things look good: fonts, colors, paddings, style/design, etc.
* You're proficient in React/Next code to make it look and behave the way you want, leaving the codebase better off.
* You have experience in DeFi, as a user or builder, and know your way around DEXes, ENS, block explorers, etc.
* As an early hire, you should be comfortable wearing multiple hats and helping out wherever you can.
* You will build our frontend wallet/DApps, Farcaster frames, and possibly even documentation.
Tech Stack
* React 18, Next.js 14, Viem, Wagmi, Radix-UI, Vercel, etc., all in their latest versions.
* PaymentRouter in Solidity, deployed to EVM chains (others coming).
Teamwork & Remote Policy
* We passionately dislike scrum, so no daily meetings and other scrum practices.
* We're striving towards a model inspired by 'Shape Up' and Linear.app team:
o Broadly defined stories that leave product responsibility to builders.
* We work remotely, with occasional meetups throughout the year.
* The team is based in Europe and SE Asia.
* Timezones: Europe and SE Asia strongly preferred; occasional US timezones can be accommodated.
* Quarterly co-working week with teammates.
Compensation
* Depending on your skill/experience level + equity.
Your Application Progress
* CV/Resume/Cover letter screen. We look for your screenshots and work examples of your previous UI/UX work.
* Initial video call/interview with the founder, followed by a second with a frontend developer to check for frontend skills.
