We are hiring a Project Lead to be responsible for one or multiple specific Small Molecules (SM) medium/small investment projects.

Key responsibilities:
* Develop and implement project plans - As CAPEX Project Lead you will create and effectively implement project plans to achieve objectives across Engineering, Design, Construction, and Commissioning phases.
* Handle project budgets - Ensuring the project stays strictly within budget, you will lead any changes and manage financial resources effectively.
* Ensure safety, quality & compliance - You will strictly ensure that the project meets all required safety and quality standards according to internal procedures and health authority requirements.
* Coordinate project teams - You will coordinate, assign tasks, and manage the work of project teams to ensure everyone works together efficiently and flawlessly.
* Nurture and support the growth of talents - Establish clear career paths for each team member, encouraging an inclusive and collaborative environment.
* Monitor project progress - Regularly monitor project progress to ensure they’re on track, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Align with regulations - Ensure that all projects align with relevant regulations and legal requirements.
* Manage project risks - Identify potential risks and develop strategies to manage them effectively.
* Communicate on project progress, status, and any issues that may arise, including senior management, to ensure transparency and alignment.
* Coordinate project resources - Lead all aspects of coordinating project resources, including equipment, materials, and personnel to ensure efficient utilization.
* Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors - Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring they provide high-quality work and meet project timelines.
Key requirements:
* Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or a related field
* Proven experience in project engineering and project management within process, power, infrastructure industries, with a focus on pharmaceutical experience, ideally within small molecules
* Experience in engineering and cGMP Manufacturing, particularly in chemical and/or biological APIs
* Broad technical knowledge across various engineering fields in the pharmaceutical/infrastructure environment, including process, automation, mechanical & piping, and civil engineering
* Proven track record in cost control and scheduling related to investment projects
* Experience in engineering aspects of facility design to build a compliant but cost effective plant.
* Knowledge of modern commissioning approaches to minimize the time from construction completion to routine production while maintaining compliance
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
* Proficiency in English and German
* Effective influencing skills with the ability to communicate across varying levels and functions of the organization
* Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coach direct reports and teams, with or without direct line responsibility
* Solid project management skills
