Your Crew
Join our multidisciplinary team of 11 engineers, where you’ll help in the industrialization and support of serial production of launch vehicle structures. You’ll work in a multicultural environment, closely collaborating with development engineering and our operations organization, engaging with a broad range of technologies. Your Mission
Conduct simple to complex design improvement tasks applying our standard Catia CAD system, receiving related supervision as needed. Apply our digital tools related to the Change, NC and Design Release process.
Write and review technical documentation, project-related deliverables and other specifications related to your field of work. Adapt Design documentation for the product- and mission-specific requirements.
Utilize task management techniques/tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements.
Proactively communicate and align cross-functionally with adjacent engineering fields and departments outside engineering such as operations, quality, procurement, and other teams.
Support processes and product continuous improvements to deliver in line with customer quality, cost, and demand. Propose market-oriented initiatives to improve existing products, technologies, and production processes, including harmonization tasks within product families, with DtC and DfM in mind.
Understand and comply with internal BPM. Challenge and develop the actual processes in line with market trends and business needs.
Participate in the Non-Conformance Review Board according to the NC process. Actively propose technical solutions in your field of activity. Carry out technical risk management and perform Root Cause Analysis.
Secure CAPA corrective and preventive measures. Implement Lessons Learned.
Represent your engineering field during working meetings and reviews with customers, suppliers, or subcontractors.
Support your engineering field during product development. Be the local technical authority in your field for the defined scope and first level of technical escalations.
Build and maintain relevant contact with external stakeholders.
Task Manager role / Work Package owner. Own technical, budget, and schedule responsibility for the fulfillment of tasks assigned by projects, providing routine progress reporting as agreed.
Your Story
Bachelor or other similar higher degree based on a Designer apprenticeship, e.g., in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering or similar.
Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a design engineer or equivalent role in a relevant engineering discipline.
Knowledge of project task management techniques and tools.
Extended CAD software and composite experience, preferably with Catia V5 and V6, PLM (e.g., Enovia or Teamcenter).
Proficient in German and English.
Nice to have:
Knowledge of the space industry and market.
Experience in large composite structures.
