To support our Project Management Office, we are looking for a full-time Project Manager.
Job's mission
The Project Manager plays a key role in ensuring the efficient, effective, and timely execution of projects from idea to launch. Whether focused on innovation or renovation, the Project Manager coordinates cross-functional teams to deliver results that align with business objectives. By fostering smart collaboration and maintaining a structured approach, the Project Manager ensures that projects are executed seamlessly, meeting both strategic goals and operational requirements.
Key responsibilities
* Project Management: Plan, execute, and control development activities to launch innovative technologies, new products, and product upgrades (chemical, mechanical), primarily for European projects, with a focus on cosmetics, commodities, food, and food supplements.
* User Needs Evaluation: Collaborate with the project owner to assess user needs for new product developments and translate them into a project plan. The sponsor is typically Sunstar Europe SA Marketing but may occasionally include cross-regional functions such as Sunstar Americas Inc., Sunstar Japan, or others.
* Project Planning: Develop project plans with milestones, financial forecasts, and resource allocation based on input from internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, CDMOs, and relevant partners, to ensure product launches align with desired timelines, scope, quality, and budget.
* Project Coordination: Organize and lead project meetings, prepare statements and rationales for decision-making, and ensure alignment of project objectives while maintaining project timelines.
* Risk Management: Adhere to internal procedures for project risk management and propose mitigation strategies as needed.
* Audit & Compliance: Support and oversee all audit requirements related to Design & Development by ensuring high-quality documentation and compliance with internal procedures and external standards. Lead the resolution of related CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in life sciences or engineering; a degree in business administration could be accepted if accompanied by training in Project Management.
* Certification in project management and training in various project management methodologies, such as waterfall or agile systems – Desirable.
* Fluency in English is required; oral and written proficiency in another European language (preferably French) is a plus.
* Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project or an equivalent project management software (e.g., Orchestra) – Desirable.
Experience
* Minimum of 2 years in project management, handling multiple end-to-end projects (from ideation to delivery). Experience in a regulated environment, ideally with knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards, as well as cosmetics regulations.
* Experience in personal care product development is a plus.
* Experience working with liquid and semi-liquid product development is a plus.
* Experience in compiling business cases and/or knowledge of financial aspects of product development is an advantage.
