As the Assistant Welcome Director, you will be the second-in-command in the Welcome department, reporting directly to the Welcome Director.
You will be responsible for overseeing the entire Welcome team, including concierges, night managers, welcome ambassadors, and other agents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the operational aspects of the Welcome Office, ensuring a seamless guest experience through welcoming guests, check-in and check-out, and providing assistance as needed.
* Develop, implement, and continually review policies, procedures, practices, and standards to ensure consistency.
* Prepare daily pre-arrival schedules and customized stays to meet guests' needs.
* Optimize room inventory to maximize revenue.
* Implement and develop objectives for the Welcome Office and Whatever/Whenever team aligned with the hotel's goals.
* Train, develop, coach, and manage the performance of direct reports, focusing on their growth and development.
* Coordinate activities with other hotel departments to enhance communication and customer satisfaction.
* Maintain high visibility for operational fluidity, promoting good relations with the public, taking corrective action, and following up on customer queries and complaints.
* Stay informed about all emergency procedures, hotel promotions, upcoming products, and events, briefing team members accordingly.
* Ensure adherence to W standards, achieving excellent Guest Voice scores, and taking necessary actions.
* Integrate new team members into the department, establishing appropriate schedules, checklists, and training matrices, while training existing team members in Brand Standards and other policies.
**Ideal Candidate:**
* Significant Front Office management experience in luxury hotels.
* Interest in fashion trends.
* Fluent English and French language skills (written, read, and spoken).
* Advanced IT skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Opera PMS).
* Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
* Integrated, adaptable, flexible, and results-oriented individual.
* Strong team spirit and ability to attract, develop, and retain talent.
* Financial acumen.
