Top Accountabilities
Team leadership:
1. Lead a team of 7 to 10 Sales Representatives and Brand Ambassadors, managing their performance and the growth of the channel.
2. Set up the team for success supported by coaching, individual development plans, teamwork, and trustworthy relations.
3. Set high-quality standards for the team to represent our brands to consumers and ensure that our customers adopt the highest standards.
Sales Skills and Customer acquisition:
1. Support negotiating contracts and implementing the best execution with our gastronomy partners to ensure brilliant execution for our luxury portfolio.
2. Responsible for the commercial outcome of our customer universe, which includes restaurants, bars, clubs, and some whisky specialist stores.
3. Support your team to engage with high-profile customers within a niche market to ensure we create brand awareness.
Brand advocacy:
1. Lead the individual target setting for the Diageo advocacy, content creation, distribution, activation, promotion, and innovation agenda, focusing on the Luxury portfolio in the leading outlet universe.
2. Ensure our brands are available and have perfect visibility in back bars, menus, and on shelves.
3. Develop content creation strategy plans in collaboration with the brand ambassadors, ensuring great social media visibility.
4. Hold your team accountable to tell the heritage and history of the portfolio.
Commercial effectiveness:
1. Develop analytics/tools to continually identify target outlets by opportunities, e.g., execution standard gaps, over/underperformance, segmentation, activity suitability, etc.
2. Ensure that your team’s work and all initiatives are tracked in our CRM tool.
3. Collaborate with business effectiveness to ensure all necessary systems and reports for performance tracking are in place.
Ideal experiences / Qualifications / capabilities
1. 5+ years of experience in sales within the luxury FMCG world.
2. Ability to develop and motivate individuals into a successful team that can present themselves and our products in a way that reflects the luxury brand's image and values.
3. Good understanding of P&L.
4. Great understanding of the mixology scene, a passion for spirits, and the capacity to deliver strong execution through your team.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships with internal and external partners.
6. Affinity for luxury goods and a good understanding of luxury brands and consumers.
