This position reports to: Product Life-Cycle Management Engineering Leader
Your role and responsibilities:
The PCBA lifecycle engineering, as part of System Drive's Product Lifecycle located in Turgi, Switzerland, is responsible for most of our Medium-Voltage Converter printed circuit board assemblies from the start of mass production until end of life. In this role, you will be managing the team of engineers who are responsible for our important control hardware PCBA portfolio to ensure manufacturability, quality, and reliability by implementing improvements for our new developments, the active product business, and service demands. You will be mainly accountable for:
1. Defining operating guidelines for the team, ensuring their implementation, overseeing progress within their area of responsibility, and identifying and managing technical issues.
2. Supporting the personal development of individual team members.
3. Participating in defining the annual budget for their area of responsibility and managing performance against agreed financial targets and constraints.
4. Guiding the team in building engineering/operational capability through training, mentoring, and shadowing programs.
5. Ensuring that appropriate processes are in place to capture and share best practices and operational experiences, facilitating the sharing of best practices within the Engineering team.
6. Ensuring lifecycle management activities of our PCBA portfolio are taken care of.
7. Guaranteeing efficient processes in PCBA Product Engineering, including component engineering with 2nd source and obsolescence management, and PCBA Supply Chain Engineering, including management of tester (FCT).
8. Maintaining and developing collaboration with global teams.
9. Ensuring a healthy and safe working environment for the team through adherence to HSE standards.
Qualifications for the role:
* At least 5 years of relevant experience with product development and/or manufacturing of PCBAs.
* Ideally, first experience in leading small engineering teams.
* Experience in PCBA Design and/or component engineering.
* Recognized as a team player with strong organizational and communication skills.
* Demonstrated capability to work in a cross-cultural global environment.
* Fluency in English is required; German is advantageous.
