Your role and responsibilities
As a Product Compliance Engineer, you will contribute to ensure product compliance on the existing MV product portfolio and support development projects by identifying and implementing innovative solutions. In this role, you will use your technical compliance knowledge to execute and support maintenance and development tasks and to contribute to define project plans. Further you will use your experience regarding functional safety to establish a cross-functional organization. You will be part of the LCM product compliance team and strongly collaborate with the product owner to deliver solutions to ensure that our products are properly certified and qualified according to the latest standards. You will be mainly accountable for:
1. Clarifying and managing product requirements related to standards or directives provided by the Customer and/or Product Manager to ensure market compliance.
2. Checking, verifying, and providing inputs related to applicable standards (EN IEC, UL, CSA, REACH, RoHS, etc.) to support product compliance.
3. Defining and coordinating system integration tests according to the product compliance plan, writing and approving test specifications for electrical and functional safety, and collecting critical components for certification.
4. Collaborating and coordinating with external notified bodies (TÜV SÜD, UL, CSA, etc.), overseeing internal and external laboratory tests, and reviewing and approving test reports.
Qualifications for the role
* You hold a degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
* You have ideally 2–3 years of experience in compliance engineering.
* You possess experience in collaborating with external notified bodies (e.g., TÜV SÜD, UL, DNV, SGS) and are ideally familiar with functional safety concepts.
* You take a solution-oriented approach, using fact-based argumentation and you communicate fluently in English with basic German skills.
* You are self-driven, highly responsible, and committed.
* You excel as a team player with strong collaboration and communication skills.
