International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) is hiring a Financial Analyst and Accountant.
This role is based in Basel, Switzerland; however, thanks to our status as an international organization, we can hire globally and welcome applications from candidates of all nationalities and located anywhere in the world. Purpose of the job:
* To perform accounting tasks and handle finance-related matters through covering various duties and responsibilities around financial planning, accounting, and budgeting with an impact at the whole organization.
* Supporting the internal control committee by ensuring compliance with all internal policies and procedures and contributing to the development and improvement of financial planning, budget, internal controls, and reporting processes.

Principal Accountabilities:
* Managing accounting processes for daily, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities, including reconciliations and other control procedures, in coordination with BIS Finance.
* Preparing the IADI budget and financial statements in cooperation with the BIS accounting department and under supervision of relevant IADI Council Committees.
* Producing and reviewing high-quality financial and budget reports, including quarterly financial reports for the IADI Council Committees and Executive Council, ensuring compliance with IADI Policy and Procedures, and BIS accounting policies and procedures.
* Calculating IADI annual membership fees, preparing and distributing invoices, and monitoring the collection of fees, including reminders.
* In accordance with IADI and BIS policies and procedures, managing the “procure to pay” cycle for IADI, including the preparation of invoices and execution of payments.
* Providing assistance and responding to any request as part of the annual external audit for IADI and providing support to any follow-up to audit recommendations.
* Contributing to the development and improvement of financial planning, budget processes, internal controls, and reporting within IADI.
* Providing support to the Chairs of the Council Committees responsible for internal control and financial planning.
* Developing and maintaining relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and the BIS, liaising with BIS Finance and Procurement.
* Performing any other relevant work relating to the accounting and financial matters of IADI as assigned by the Secretary General.
Qualifications, skills, and experience:
* Primary accounting qualification (ACA, CPA, CA, Wirtschaftsprüfer or equivalent), with relevant post-qualification experience.
* Strong reporting and accounting skills.
* Knowledge of the Swiss Code of Obligations and Swiss GAAP FER.
* University degree (or equivalent) in accounting, business administration, or finance.
* High attention to detail, problem-solving, analytical skills, and time management.
* Ability to manage multiple projects/duties and handle stressful situations.
* Strong IT skills: Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
* Knowledge of financial management information systems and reporting-writing tools (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle Fusion, SAP Concur) are desirable.
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Other major world languages are desirable.
* Willingness to travel.
