The Material Planner (raw materials) will support Manufacturing Planning reports) liaising with different internal stakeholders of the Supply Chain, Procurement and Quality teams. The responsibilities will be around the following task areas:
Main day-to-day:
- Raw materials planning and inventory control activities, including forecasted demand, safety stock levels, expiry reporting, TD forecasting, QC release, and the weekly management of ASCP purchasing suggestions
- Revising and maintaining SOPs, SLRs, BOM's, Formulas, Recipes, Validity Rules, Production Rules, Warehouse Rules in OPM
- Supporting tech transfers and the development/maintenance of manufacturing bills of materials, as needed, and ensuring that the raw materials are procured and on-hand to support the manufacturing schedule
Further on:
- Supporting new item creation process and Master Data enrichment as required
- Reviewing process and raw material vendor change notifications for inventory impact and facilitation of cross-functions discussions, as required, to drive changes to closure and/or visibility of change or inventory impact
- Analyzing data and creating the Expired and Obsolete report quarterly and reviews the information with the site planning management team
- Supporting site leadership team meetings as needed and escalating potential issues to management as required.

In order to be considered for the role, the selected candidate must have:
- Bachelor degree in pharma/life science or Supply Chain field
- 2-5 years work experience in Material Planning (min.2 years in a pharma company)
- Proficiency with ERP sytems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
- Advanced skills with Excel and Power BI are welcome
- Strong communication skills in English
- Proactive teamplayer
Our client, an internationally renowned pharmaceutical company in the Solothurn area is recruiting. On its behalf we are now looking for a Material Planner (a) starting asap, ideally March/April, to join their international team for a period of 12 months.
Depending on the selected candidate's performance and motivation, there is a possibility of an extension or a permanent take over.
