We are looking for a process engineer who will be responsible for the development and maintenance of business modules (bar turning) of computer numerical control (CNC) and PC software for our R & D department in Moutier, Switzerland.
Job description
1. Participate in the development of business modules and programming software for single and multispindle machines
2. Be involved in the validation of macros and software on the machine
3. Contribute to third-level support for issues related to on-machine software applications
4. Support the drafting of operating instructions
5. Contribute to in-house training
Your responsibilities
6. Organize the programming principles of Tornos products
7. Develop sequencing and machining macros as well as model programs
8. Participate in the integration of new products into programming software
9. Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of programming software
10. Support software development teams with your business knowledge
11. Participate in specific customer developments
12. Update documentation
13. Assists customers and in-house staff with machine testing on an ad hoc basis
14. Participate in software validation through machine testing
15. Monitor technical innovation
16. Contribute to staff training in new software solutions developed in-house
17. Participate in evaluations and/or studies upstream and downstream of development (prototypes, trials, technological tests) within the framework of future projects
18. Generally report to the Software and Process Manager
Your profile
Basic training:
Certificat fédéral de capacité (CFC) in polymechanics with bar turning option, supplemented by a technician's or engineer's diploma in mechanical engineering (computer numerical control [CNC] automatic lathes preferred).
Skills:
19. In-depth knowledge of ISO programming
20. In-depth knowledge of machining processes on CNC automatic lathes
21. Knowledge of 2D and/or 3D CAD tools would be an advantage
22. Knowledge of measurement techniques for turned parts would be an advantage
23. Knowledge of a computer language would be an advantage
24. Ability to conduct technical discussions in English and/or German
