This is a unique opportunity to work in the Virtual Site (VS) - Perfumery & Beauty (P&B) team which is responsible for quality management of Strategically Sourced Products (SSP). The current P&B SPP portfolio consists of Personal Care ingredients and includes around 85 products from 30 suppliers, and the portfolio continues to grow in line with the P&B growth ambitions. The role would suit someone with a strong background in quality who is looking to broaden their experience and work in a dynamic and innovative environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, resilient and possess excellent communication skills.
The Quality Manager VS-P&B acts as the quality link between the supplier/producer and dsm-firmenich. Internally, the Quality Manager VS-P&B works closely together with Product Regulatory and Quality Managers, Category and Product management, Purchasing, Supply Chain Managers, Customer Support teams and Account Managers. The VS-P&B team is located globally in Switzerland and China.

Your key responsibilities
* Support and maintain Quality Assurance System for Strategically Sourced Products (SSPs) under P&B.
* Supplier/Producer/Material (re-) qualification in alignment with Purchasing.
* Compile and evaluate supplier qualification documents.
* Take decision on the verdict to release or reject Material to the market to ensure a continuous supply chain.
* Investigate Customer Complaints in alignment with suppliers, initiate Corrective and Preventive actions at VS P&B and/or on suppliers’ side.
* Set up and maintain product risk assessments.
* Establish and maintain spot check testing schemes based on product risk exposures and supplier qualification status.
* Review and/or approve quality related documents (e.g. deviations, changes, validations).
* Apply and represent dsm-firmenich Quality Standards and Principles.

You bring
* University degree in Life Science (or equivalent qualification).
* Knowledge in Quality Management requirements for Cosmetic ingredients.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills (internal and external).
* Experience to work with diverse and cross-functional teams, internally and externally.
* Experience in analysis laboratory/analytical chemistry and/or manufacturing.
* Fluency in English, other languages are assets.
* Willingness to travel.
